The Effective Supervisor - Spring 2010
SVTDC will again present the popular Effective Supervisor seminar in Spring 2010 with two opportunities to join a cohort. This certification program provides a supervisor with the skills necessary to meet the challenges of today’s work environment.
This five-session program provides supervisors, team leaders or individuals who want to move into leadership roles within their organizations the skills necessary to meet the challenges of an ever-changing and fast-moving work environment. Achieving results through others is the hallmark of an effective supervisor, and this certification program provides a supervisor with insights into their own personal leadership, their impact on employee motivation and performance, and their team’s ability to implement company or organizational strategies.
Each highly interactive session gives individuals the opportunity to participate at both the individual and group level through exercise and case studies. In addition to the competency-based and skill-building sessions, participants will be provided supplemental reading and will be introduced to an experienced mentor who will support him or her throughout the program.
Upon completion of this course, participants will feel more confident and prepared to address work situations and have the skills needed to be a contributor to their organization and their community.
