UVa-Wise Announces Expanded IT Offerings

The UVa-Wise Office of Economic Development is pleased to announce a significant revamp of our technology curriculum. We are proud to offer one of the broadest and deepest range of technology courses in the industry. These can be customized for your needs and offered at your site or delivered remotely. We are also planning to offer public enrollment classes in many of these technologies and would welcome any feedback on what classes would interest you the most.  A partial list of technologies include:
• Java/ J2EE  technologies including EJBs, Servlets, JSP, Hibernate, Struts and Spring. These can be delivered on a wide range of applications servers such as WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss and Tomcat
• Microsoft technologies including .NET (ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET), SharePoint,
• Database and reporting technologies  including Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access, PowerBuilder, Visual Foxpro, DB2, Cognos, Business Objects and Crystal Reports
• Web technologies including Ajax, JavaScript, ColdFusion, Perl, PHP
• Mobile technologies including IPhone and Android
• Mainframe technologies including DB2, CICS, COBOL, JCL, REXX, JES2, SysPlex
• Object Oriented analysis and design, UML, Design Patterns
• Software testing and Quality Assurance and related products (Quality Center, Quick Test Professional)
• Adobe products including InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Captivate
• XML and XML Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA classes)
• Unix, Linux, AIX, Solaris and  OpenVMS
• ERP products like SAP and PeopleSoft
